For Sale: xxxx?s Tappan Deluxe (Doughboy) Electric Range and Stove.
It features three surface burners, surface crock pot, central baking oven covered by a Visualite glass oven door, lower broiler, chrome crisping and storage drawers inside left door, with towel rack and utensil tray inside of right door.
This stove was intended for a summer kitchen that never got built. When it arrived I was able to plug it in long enough to check the burners, but never got the chance to test the oven or use it to cook. If memory serves me correctly, two of the burners work and two need replaced, but I can?t remember which ones. The stove, oven, and burners could use some detail cleaning, but the exterior porcelain is in remarkable shape for its age.
I couldn?t gather much info on this Tappan, other than the electric versions of this vintage are rare; restored and working are upwards of $xxxx. Asking $300 obo. Being sold ?As Is?.
Pick-up only. Item is very heavy so it will require man-power or a dolly.
